I like how the language differences are handled in this anime, quite smooth and believable.

There's that "de-humanizing" aspect of Chinese Propaganda against the Japanese.. How Japanese soldiers for no reason whatsoever made their own Japanese nurses jump off cliffs into lakes.. "Redeem my sins" my tushy.. It's sad but at the same time stupid that a race thought it was a sin just for being that race..

(I truly do wonder though what the Japanese who VOICED these characters thought of this, or if they were even told that they'd be voicing Anti-Japanese sentiment. I personally do like it that they went through the effort to include both languages instead of just saying "speaking Japanese".

Man, these revolutionaries really are dumb village hicks.. I really do always feel that Megumi is literally just playing soldier on hard mode, but still playing, rather than being, an actual soldier..
